Frozen Synapse is an amazing indie game on sale on steam, and I highly recommend it. I'll be making a video review for it shortly, but this is a shout out to get it now while you still get a 2 for 1 deal!

2 Shot Productions
A blog full of random things related to my life, although originally created and hopefully focused towards my work into film. Hence the name 2 shot productions (Which may or may not have spaces in between the words when mentioned)

New Channel, New Stuff
Hey, I've created a second channel that's shared between my friend and I for uploading cool stuff we work on together. Currently, we're making and adding new songs each each, and here's our first:
If you liked it, and just knowing that there will be other content as well, subscribe!
I'll still be uploading stuff to 2shotproductions, as that's my personal thing, but a lot of work will be on this new channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/jcsfproductions

Summer Plans/Life Plans
Now that I've graduated High School...
Okay, I'm not sure what direction this blog is going to take off in, but I'm going to be doing something in the direction of being productive.
So within these first 5 days of being done with school I've actually done a lot that I didn't realize I was missing out on. It feels strange being done with the stress of school work, but it also feels odd knowing that I'm never going back to High School again; some mixture of relief and disappointment.
One thing that got brought up today was when I was seeing an old friend I hadn't talked to in half a year was the direction of being an entrepreneur. He graduated High School and started up a jewelry making business with his friend and is making iPhone/iTouch apps in his house for money.
Although I don't know how successful that may be, it's definitely something I find worth analyzing and possibly incorporating into my life. Maybe I need to find a direction like that, I have lots of ideas and lots of inspiration (with a lack of motivation) to do something like that, but somehow I feel afraid to take the leap of faith and chance my fate if I spent time pursuing my own business.
There's my little rant. I'll be posting more soon as new ideas and things come up, and perhaps at that I'll actually get people reading my blog on at least a semi-consistent basis.

The Final Stretch
The final week for Seniors ('11!) has come, as we all begin to celebrate being out of school and putting off those projects we're given at the end of the year as busy work, and avoiding being suspended for the senior scavenger hunt, we look back and.... Well, more look forward and ignore the past, expecting college to somehow take us somewhere useful. Of course, most of us will end up hating what we do for a living, bored out of our minds and wondering where it all went wrong and realizing that we just grew up.
Aside from all that, Summer means (potential) productivity. Like, making films or something. I need a summer project. Maybe I'll join the rest of the sad congregation of adults that say "I'm working on a novel." If I'm lucky, I won't. Hopefully I'll be the minority and be part of the sad congregation of "I'm working on a film."
Until next time..
P.S. I just bought Pokemon White on Monday and I'll be playing that until the end of the school year.

Bad Romance at an intersection
This is pretty much the only cool thing I did over break, go record a video of a few people I know playing Lady Gaga's song Bad Romance in front of our high school at the intersection next to the UofM stadium.

BulletLeagueCraft
Currently about to play:
Bulletstorm
League of Legends
Current Predicted Projects:
Make some kind of let's play of minecraft potentially?
If I made a minecraft "let's play" I probably would try to add something original to it, because I don't see the real allure in just a plain old lets play.
At that, here's an awesome series by Robert Moran: http://www.urealms.com/content.php?259
Sorry I'm really tired right now and I don't feel like writing anything...

Today
Well, I did get some filming done and made a short but terrible little film. I learned a very important lesson, don't get desperate to get actors and just grab all your friends, get people who can actually act.
Anyways, I also recorded friends playing Bad Romance on the sidewalk next to a busy intersection.
Updates later with other stuff....

It's Kind of a Funny Story... (Movie Review)
Now, I don't know if I'll make it a habit of reviewing movies or not, but if a movie gives me a reason to say how bad or how good or it is, I might feel compelled to do so. Keep in mind I've never done a real film review before, so bare with me.
It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0804497/
This film is putting a picture to the story of when you hear about teens who find themselves in a bout with depression. Most people blow off this idea, wondering why a teenager would ever have any reason to be stressed out to the point of wanting to kill themselves. Well, this movie somewhat satirically makes fun of that idea, but also puts into perspective why a kid might feel this way and gives a legitimate tale of the funny story of life and its problems.
As the film starts out, we meet our main character, Craig, played by Keir Gilchrist. He's a "depressed" teenager, in a dream where he's walking over the middle bypass of a bridge in New York City (pardon my lacking geography skills). Before he's about to jump, he's greeted with his family, including the hilarious Jim Gaffigan, standing on the side casually. The scene brings a great sense of humor, detracting from the seriousness of the situation and giving a funny side, while still giving a legitimately believable performance. This is something the film likes to do quite often, throwing you back and forth between serious moments and becoming light heartened. But the way the director does this is great, as he still shows the seriousness of the subject matter, but at the same time the title is applied throughout the scenes, reminding us how funny it all really is out of perspective.
Eventually our main character finds himself convincing his doctor to allow him to be admitted into the psychiatric ward of the hospital, where he's greeted with more than he expected. Thinking he's took a wrong turn going here after seeing the other patients, he tries to leave, but to no avail. We then proceed to meet the larger cast of characters, including Zach Galifianakis and Emma Roberts, both of which are amazing actors in this film. The movie continues to show us the ups and downs of his life staying at the hospital, and lets us know that we're not the only ones who go through phases of depression. Not only does the ending admit that this isn't a tale of a teenager going through this once and coming out better forever, it acknowledges the truth of depression and that this is only the start, but life goes on. The final montage at the end of the film is amazingly well done, especially with how well the music fits in.
Overall, I would give the film an 8 out of 10. It's certainly not one of the best films I've ever seen, but although not entirely original, it still gave off a vibe that it brought something new and unseen to the table. Either way, I'd recommend seeing it at least once by yourself. By the end, you'll want to go outside and hug someone close to you.

Doomsday
It's official.
I've forced myself into a corner I can't back out of.
I got a few people together who are eagerly awaiting my phone call tomorrow morning for a time and location.
For what?
For a film.
To finally, after all this time, make a film.
I'm making this way over-dramatic, it's totally gonna suck and get like 50 views on Youtube total. We'll see what happens.
Oh, and if it seems like I'm not procrastinating, I am. I just threw this all together today, and I don't even have a script or idea ready or any solid idea on an exact number of people in my cast/crew.
This will be interesting.
